The device name is set as the serial number by default. Here is how you can give your Somnofy unit its own name.
- Tap the hamburger button in the top-left corner to open the menu.
- Go to Settings and push Device.
- You may now see the device name on the upper right.
- Tapp the pen-icon marked in red in the picture on the right.
By tapping the pen-icon, a window opens which lets you decide for yourself, which name you want you Somnofy unit to display in your app.
It is useful to name your Somnofy unit, especially if you have more than one unit in your household. It makes the differentiation of different units in separate bedrooms easier, or if you and your bed partner both have a Somnofy unit set up.
NOTE: The default serial number is marked with S/N right below the device name and cannot be changed. The explanation about the importance of the serial number can be found here.
