This article summarizes how the new notification system works in health.somnofy.com
In health.somnofy.com, it is possible to set up alerts if you have the right as a user to do so. Our alerts are in constant development and we are working to develop both more precise alerts and make them even more intuitive and easy to use.
Notifications can be set up in Zone settings. To do so, click on Administration and navigate to the zone where you want to set up notifications. Then, click on the small gear icon in the upper right corner.
Two tabs will appear under the zone settings: "Notification handlers" and "Notification Rules and Logs."
Notification handlers
To receive notifications, you must first set up a notification recipient. To do this, click on "Add a notification recipient." You can choose from many different types of notification recipients, but we recommend setting up email and/or SMS notifications on your own. Please contact Vitalthings Support if you wish to use one of our integrations.
The image next to it shows the types of integrations we offer on health.somnofy.com. Notifications are sent via SMS, email, and to various patient alert systems where we have integrations. Currently, we have integrations that work with Skyrespons (Hepro), Sensio Pocket, NetNordic, and Careium.
Notification rules
The following alerts are possible in Somnofy:
- When a person gets out of bed and does not return
- Changes in breathing rate based on trend measurements
- When a person calls for help (we can record the sound level)
- When the person is awake
- When a person is restless with a lot of movement
- Device disconnected
Alert ≠ Alarm
An alert is not equivalent to a medically approved alarm. Somnofy is not a medical device and is not intended to warn of, prevent, or treat diseases.
Somnofy cannot send a notification about:
- Epileptic seizures
- Cardiac arrest
- Stop breathing
- Anaphylactic shock
- Fall
Logs
The log provides an overview of all notifications sent out from health.somnofy.com.
